Arboris To Build Sterol Manufacturing Facility
Jacksonville, FL-based Arboris, LLC, a joint venture between Arizona Chemical and the Härting Group, will build its first manufacturing plant adjacent to Arizona Chemical’s tall oil refinery in Savannah, Ga. The Arboris plant in Savannah, which will serve customers globally, will be the largest sterol plant in the world. The joint venture, which was announced in September 2001, was formed to produce high purity pine sterols for the pharmaceutical and nutraceutical markets using advanced technology developed by Härting.
